we are back with a new website!

For all who is reading this. We are back at our old website domain

www.audiotransparent.com

This is where we used to hang out all these years. It was a beautifull website but it got outdated. With the help from Ritzo and Ard we got ourselves a brand new website!

Content and development will grow the coming period. Why don't you grow with us?

Things we do

We don't like to keep people waiting or to give them the silent-treatment. Unfortunatly, this is often the case. This doesn't mean we're not doing anything. On the contrary! Things are starting to be put in motion. First of all, we'll be playing on the prestigous Noorderzon festival in our Hometown Groningen. It's an outdoor festival that lasts over 10 days. We will be playing in an old abonded church called 'The Noorderkerk". We are in the proces of putting together a show especially for this festival. It's going to be called:

'The Northern Sons of the Circus"

Sounds vain? Well, let's say our lives are definitly like a circus sometimes. A down, a frown, but please no clowns! Anyway, the details of the show aren't yet clear. But let's say it involves us, other musicians, video and performers. If this works out for us, we really do know what do to the coming year.

Secondly, we are off to the studio again. Finally! We will be recording a couple of songs. Not that it would matter if I would mention them, but I'll do it anyway! :-)

- The communication chord

- The ant, the squirrel and the sea

- Best laid Plans

- The sunday of your life

- Really white smile

Let's hope this session will go a bit faster then the last one. It took us over three days just to finish one song! That song is 'Prison Yell'. A bit different than our average cup of 'audiotransparent' tea, but we like it.

let's leave it at that!

New video's

Just for your kind and welcome information; we uploaded an old video on youtube. It's an acoustic performance of the song 'Under Water'. If technology is a good help, you can view it on the right side of this page.

The fun part is that we have been pondering our heads on this song for ages how to record this one but haven't really been able to get it right. We do have a studio recording, but it's not finished and we have no idea how it's gonna sound. I think that's just one of those things you encounter when you want to make an album with songs that you've never been able to make before....

euh, you still follow me?

The thing is, we are trying to put together an album that would suprise ourselves in the first place and hopefully our listeners as well. Trying something new is really hard. It means letting go of old ideas and allowing to get some new ones (hopefully).

Practically, this means we will be working on this album for a long time to come. Meanwhile, we will keep you busy with some other versions of songs that will certainly appear on the album. These songs will mostly be acoustic. There are some complete band performances on video as well, we'll share them with you as soon as they are ready.

Anyway, this recording is made for and by Lopend Vuur in the living room of Lykle. He lend us some candles and we had a very nice time.

hmmm, living room concerts.... that's a good idea :-)

have fun and goodbye

p.s. Also there is a very nice video from this guy who used some of our music in it, check it out!

Getting Wired

Our heads are easily lifted up into a huge amount of sight-depriving clouds. That being said, we are a confused bunch and we tend to communicate only through the use of african talking drums. But I always tend to see that as a part of us that makes us so loveable. With the help of nice people around us we are starting to get control of the situation that is called ‘audiotransparent’.

Personally I finally bowed down and got myself a Twitter account. Fun stuff indeed, although I’m not sure whether I can deliver enough content for people to follow me. But off course, that’s why I am in a band! So audiotransparent has a Twitter account as well. But we don’t stop there! No sir, we have so much stuff to tell you and to share with you. Let me summarize the fun stuff, widgets, spaces and accounts we are now members of before it gets to complicated all together again.

Last.Fm
Myspace
Hyves
Youtube
Flickr
Twitter
Ordinary website (wow, this sure looks boring these days)
Blogspot (but since your already here I presume that making this an active link would be a bit much, but I did it anyway!)

Pfff, still sounds easy? And to think that this stuff is actually designed to make things easier and faster. Well anyway, guess we just have to make things work from now on. Maybe we are able to tie all these digital knots together, wouldn’t that be fun in a world dominating kind of way?
see you all until the world is completely ours!

What’s on our minds...

Since our last show we all took a little break. It’s not that we toured our asses off, but the last months have been very busy. Thinking about music in a broad commercial sense is interesting but tiresome. Luckily we now have a couple of people who are helping us to make some noise in the commercial sense. Ritzo ten Cate will be helping us out. It’s nice when people help you, very nice. We hope he will enjoy all our gifts.

Anyway, about things that are tiresome. We had enough of them. Not only do we all have fulltime jobs but also the joy and stress of everyday life. So it’s not always easy to work on fine music with a clear and unworried mind. Buying houses, illness, vacation with the misses and switching jobs. Those things happen, but we’ll manage.

This whole blog will see an update soon. Maybe we will move it to our own server so we can fill this page with nice goodies for you to download. We would love to let you hear some of our new songs. We’re still working on them. A new song from Bart has been on our minds, bouncing through our heads. Bart has a talent for extremely addictive melodies. The song is now called ‘Really white Smile’. I think the lyrics are pointing out some nice criticism but I’d rather let Bart explain if he is in the right mood.

That’s it for now, take care
